You haven't totally missed the whole event, there's still like 3 days left if you log in now + Saturday + Sunday... and then New Year's as well. The Christmas Day and New Year's presents will be lasting more than 24 hours, per CCP.

Ye I did log in couple days now and got couple cheapo skins and some misc flavor items, and i guess all the stuff i was looking is named with the YC119 so i could find em in ah rather easy.
