I stand corrected, but in the initial email from FD it states nowhere that you have to pay for them until you go to the website.

Though it doesn't state they are gifts either, the email is laid out like an advert calender which at the time gave me the impression they were free.


If that's the case, don't worry. CCP's bloppers with promotions still are a way more epic; they essentially ripped me off 80 euros with a poorly worded promotion which turned to not be appliable to my accounts... Roll

Or a in game note to (like the refused refund) to say so. or a banner in the login screen. I did not have time today to read any forum or blog posts. RL really ate all my time today. So no need to be so condescending towards people just asking a question.

I was also curious as to why there is no gifts. I was only able to log in now at 23:00 GMT+2.

I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.

How about some real meaning gifts. the crates, for large part have been nothing more than junk save a few skins and the accelerator. Other than that. junk. The arum was nice but not reall much you could buy with 300.

Something buggy going on for me to. I log in pretty much the same time everyday. Three times I've had gifts to redeem. A couple of times, nothing. Once, an expired gift. (I guess it was one of the two that didn't appear-- then it appeared too late). Oh well, that saves me from foolishly wasting my time trying to sell some ship skins or women's boots later.

Yeah, log in daily to check what's in a box but there hasn't been boxes for two days. Surely this is making a whole lot of sense for new(ish) players.

You have yet to tell me why I should care about your own personal perception of what a gift is, especially one that comes from a company that is under no obligation to give you what you expect to be a gift. The fact is, at the end of the day, a 15% off sale is as much a gift from CCP as a lump of coal, really. We'd only be using the 'trash' option on it anyway, and there'd still be a whole lot of whining on the forums about that too. I guarantee it.

The salty tears in these threads from people with single-minded ideas of what 'gift' should mean. CCP is under no obligation to knock 15% off the prices in their store for a period of 24 hours, but they did anyway, and maybe no one bought anything because their delivery fees are insanely stupid, but maybe somebody did and really appreciate that cost cut. Who knows?

My main point is, who cares? You? Why? You said it yourself, you'd have been satisfied with a lump of coal. But you can bet your very bottom damn dollar that somebody wouldn't have been, and if that's what we'd gotten, we'd be seeing a whole different thread here. And tomorrow, when the gifts roll in, there'll be a new thread by someone complaining about what they got or didn't get, and you can rest assured, I'll be there for that one too.

The fact is, I'm going to rip anyone and everyone that pisses and moans on the forums about their dissatisfaction with the free stuff they're getting, and I'm going to do that despite your judgements of me, because who even are you? This is not a question of semantics or perceptions. There is no "personal perception" here... As a person who deals with contract law on a daily basis in real life, this is as straightforward as it gets; It was VERY clearly stated.

THE YOIUL GIFTS WERE STATED TO BE DELIVERED IN THE REDEEMING SYSTEM EACH DAY.... Therefore, if there was NO BOX TO OPEN in the redeeming system of any sort, even if it was 1 trit or a piece of coal, then there was no gift as far as THEIR OWN DEFINITION of the Yoiul Festival goes.

It seems CCP agrees with me AND their own definition of a "gift"; and decided to give everybody 300 AUR who logged in Dec 19.

It should have been in New Eden Store visible in upper right corner. 300 AUR. It was for me on Alpha and Omega.
