What is the minimum field on a buy order?

If it is set to 1, is my buy order filled and deleted after someone sells me 1, or do I keep buying until the maximum is reached at a minimum of 1 at a time? Or is it something else?

The minimum is the least amount you'll accept in one transaction. Your order will stay open until it's filled.

The point being I think, other than escrow scamming, you probably don't want to go 10 jumps to pick up 3 units of Depleted Uranium M when you've put up an order for 100,000, but still allow the order to be filled by multiple people in say 10,000 piece lots.

It is only interesting when you order can be fulfilled in different places. When you are station trading it is irrelevant.
