Hi there Science & Industry EVE forum goer!

I am returning to the game after about a 2 year break from the game and I wanted to get back into capital ship construction. Building both the components and the ships themselves. before I used a Excel spreadsheet to enter in the mineral prices, component prices, and the estimated ship sell price and it would give me a readout of how much profit or loss I would make and gave me a side by side comparison of the various details on the build if I were to buy the components outright or build them. I am hoping something similar exists now that takes into account the current landscape of EVEs industry. If anyone has any recommendations, I would be grateful for them and any other information that might be useful.

Also a side question, Would it be worth investing in a Engineering Complex or two for the building of capital ship components in high sec and one for the ships themselves in low sec? or would it be better to just use NPC ma

Google fuzzworks , should help with most of what you'll need.

The components are large, quite significantly larger, than the minerals that make them up. If you make the components in one place and the ships elsewhere, your logistics will be far more expensive and time consuming than if you just shipped the minerals (or compressed ores) and built everything in one place
