Hey all, new here, I'm trying to get EVE installed on my Linux laptop.

What I have been doing so far is using wine and Play On Linux on the Debian OS, and Oracle VM for my Ubuntu OS. I'm successful in getting the Windows launcher to get me to the launch screen and am able to log in but when I click play I stay at the launcher and nothing seems to happen. (This is for the Ubuntu with Oracle VM)

I have tried using the Linux launcher in the forums but when I use that I end up with a white screen launcher and can only press the buttons on the top left of the screen. (Both Debian and Ubuntu)

If you guys have any recommendations on what I should do please tell me. I'd like to be able to play EVE over the holiday break.

If you'd like any more information just ask.

This is my PC stats, she's old I know.

I've read this as well, but this appears to be the old launcher and it seems to be not supported anymore? https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=501644&find=unread

When you start evelauncher.sh in a terminal, do you get any output? If so, please post it here. Maybe there's something helpful in there.

Also, please try

glxinfo | grep rendering

and let us know what that says.

Hey thanks for your reply, I ended up figuring it out.

What I did was I reinstalled the linux launcher twice (Because the first time didn't work) and started the program manually through terminal. No POL, nothing new.

So weird, I did this before but I'm not sure why it would work now.
