Question about structures, asset safety, and research

1. If you are currently researching a BPO in an Engineering Complex, and the Engineering Complex gets blown up, does the BPO go to asset safety, or does it get blown up too? Or is it chance based?

2. What does the structure vulnerability window mean for Citadels?

3. If a corporation declares war on your corporation, can they attack right away without repercussions, or is there like a 24 hour period?

Thanks for the help.

BPOs go to asset safety. When the war is active (24h after declaration), attacks can take place. Structures are vulnerable to attacks only during the selected vulnerability window.

Quote:
When a structure triggers asset safety (usually by blowing up) while a manufacturing or science job is in progress, any BPOs involved in the job will be sent to asset safety. The other materials that were a part of the job (including BPCs), as well as any completed but undelivered job outputs, will have a chance to drop into the structure wreck just like structure modules. Any delivered job outputs will be in the normal hangar locations and will enter asset safety as usual.
