In Finland all kind of grocery store bonus point cards are very popular. This gave me idea for EVE.

Capsuleer stations could have bonus point store that replaces loyalty point store. Whenever you use station services you earn bonus points for that station. When you earn enough bonus points you can buy something funny from station bonus point store. Station owner has placed those items to bonus point store so they don't come out from nowhere. Station owner also sets price level for items.
