Nothing new here. just something old thats missing and rather vital due to how hard it is to trust people in this game.

Blueprints in your personal hangar can't be touched and blueprints in corporate hangars are only accessible to corporate members with appropriate roles.

It sounds like you want people to be able to use blueprints without being able to steal them. I'm not sure that's technically possible and even if it is, I don't think it should be permissible!

it's been possible for a long time the function he is asking for has been in stations for years

however i agree it should not be the corp should either risk it or spend time making coppies

you your saying corp assets shouldnt be in corp hangars?
and your saying i should give open access to #### number of blue prints?

locked bpo's are the only way to distribute construction projects with corp members without the risk of the bpo's going missing.

if the option isnt to be added, then many corps will be restricted to using stations and outposts for copying / production, or will have the bp's limited to 1 or 2 people, instead of open for use by members.

which is completely counter to what ccp is trying to do with making it a teamwork game

The feature already exists. It is called a Blueprint Lockdown Vote. Once complete it requires another Vote of shareholders to unlock the BPO. While locked it can be used but not 'removed' from the Corporate hanger.

This should be a high priority feature to replicate to the new Structures. As mentioned this feature is used a lot by large production corps, especially corps that have a lot of Tech II BPO's and Capital/Super Capital prints.

As an interim you could do the following.

Set up a corporate hanger to only have view rights for most members. Put the BPO's there. You can use BPO's in the new Industry system with only view rights on the hanger (same for the resources only needing view rights) to create Corporate jobs.

Not perfect but still better than nothing. :)

I'm not seeing the problem. NPC stations can provide this function. NPC stations are not being phased out. You're just asking for a convenience, not a need. As you've stated - the requested convenience would mostly benefit large established groups, which is the opposite of how it should be.

By not giving this function, you hurt newer industrilists who are then blocked from using the bpo stocks of large corps that cannot give people access to them due to theft

oh BS do not give me that "think of the newbro crap" with this. I ran a new player industrial alliance and from day one on we never had an issue particularly after they shortened the time to make copies.

Surprised this is possible at all. BPO's should be at risk when they are accessible.

Trust=content.
Theft=content.
