game will not open past char select

The title says it all. I can get as far as the character menu but as soon as I select a character, the game loads...forever.

This is annoying as I just reactivated my account and I feel my subscription is paying for nothing but a black loading screen.

I have cleared all caches on my game and it has had no effect whatsoever.

Does anyone have a workaround for this annoyance so I can play the game again or should is this bug a lost cause?

I would love to hear from a mod on this as I have had no responce to tickets requesting aid.

Same problem here. Can't get past character screen on WinXP 64 SP3 and Win10.

Also previously had a certificate problem on launcher start, solved it by flushing dns cache on command prompt.
