https://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/eve-online-news/exploit-notification-farming-mini-skill-injectors/

I have some issues with the wording of this, and the fact that it does not discuss what will happen to anyone who trades these beyond the "NPE/New Character" I will outline my issues with this and I seek an answer for clarification of what is an is not bannable.

I asked the Help Channel first, worst mistake I've ever made when trying to stay on topic, and they could not help provide me with a clear answer, in fact many were divided on the issue. Some were saying that since you're not the "New Player" in the situation you're perfectly fine with trading them to other characters you have and using them to help achieve the 1.5m SP Goal, whilst others were saying that the Trade/Sale/Gift/Buying of these would all be considered a bannable offense.

So I come here without making a petition since it doesn't make sense to bog down CCP with a petition and allow this thread to be seen by more people as well.

The reason I even considered the alternative / Loophole issue is as underlined.

We would like to inform players that it is now considered an exploit to repeatedly acquire Mini Skill Injectors for any purpose other than for the use of a new character running through the New Player Experience released in Ascension.

- So in this mindset, I should be allowed to transfer them to my Alts, the ones that I have already purchased, before this was made an exploit. Then be allowed to use them since my New Player is less than 1.5m SP and still could be in the New Player Experience. Especially since I do not wish to exploit the game in any way, since it is very clear, that farming these is an exploit.

It is further specifically an exploit to transfer this item to any other character from the new character acquiring the Mini Skill Injector in the first instance.

- This says to me, as long as i am not a "New Character," and this is not the "First Instance", that I am allowed to transfer this item to any character I wish.
- In addition, it was not originally obtained on this character either, so therefore I am also allowed to transfer it.

Farming and trading of this special purpose NPE item, whether for personal use, free transfer or sale, is an abuse of the NPE system and will be actioned as an exploit under our suspension and ban policy.

- Since I did not Farm it and Trade it I should be allowed to trade it to anyone I wish to be able to help any of my characters no matter how I chose to transfer it.
- If this is meant to be "Farming and/or Trading" then I would be able to understand the entire Exploit as being not limited to only New Players but to All Players.

I see there could be a number of ways to clarify this; such as what was done with the High Sec Capital Ships.

- Refined Points and Clarification.
- Inclusive Posting, of All Players Effected, not just "New Players"
- Consideration of the Impact of Pre-Exploit and Post-Exploit issues.
-- Such as those who traded them in lots.
- What will get you banned / what is allowed.
-- Such as, you are allowed to trade them if you did not originally obtain it from the NPE.
-- Such as, you are not allowed to trade this item in any regards, no matter if you obtained it from the NPE or purchased it from another player.

What will actually happen going forward for all of those people who bought and sold them before this was considered an exploit, Myself included?

In Conclusion, i'm just looking for an official statement as to avoid getting banned for breaking a rule that I wasn't sure of it I would actually get banned for it, or if I was perfectly allowed to continue as normal.

I concur with the above, an in-depth clarification from CCP regarding this exploit would be appreciated.

Why are the Mini Skill Injectors even tradable? After 13 years CCP should know that players will use every opportunity to earn ISK and get an advantage.

Why is important information like this hidden somewhere on the website? How many players do regularily check the news section on the EVE website? 0.1%?

Please put important information into the launcher!

I agree fully, when something is recently made an Exploit, that should be advertised as a Big Deal, before you just start passing out bans.

Why isn't there an implementation of "Bind on Pick-Up" on these items or something similar as well if your intention was limited.

I dunno this seems like it was poorly handled all around and your players seem more concerned for your rules than you do. ;)
