With Engineering complexes mostly being tailored for either research or Industry a procedure question comes into play. Where do I keep the original blueprints?

Currently the game seems to imply that you need to keep them in your research facility to research them, and then make copies with them, which are then either used for invention or shipped to the industry complex to make production runs. And this actually works quite well when using a corporation blueprint library. However, using personally owned originals for production runs rather than copies can be much more efficient and so it makes sense to keep them at the primary industrial complex.

Keeping blueprints at the industrial complex leads to a problem though. Periodically you will need, or want copies for either invention purposes or remote production at other facilities, While the prospect of moving a valuable researched blueprint may seem as nothing more than a minor inconvenience, this risk and inconvenience can often lead to abandoning ideas and plans that revolves around it.

As part of this I think it would be beneficial if Blueprint copying could become a main service offered by both industrial and research service modules. Even getting this expanded to NPC stations would be great. After all, if they can follow a blueprint well enough to build a spaceship, they should be able to make a copy of it too.

And in most cases that really should be unnecessary, and I think being able to copy from both facilities could really contribute to that.
