Orca fit for max mining yield

does anyone have a fit to get max mining yields off the drones ?


second question: Should the Orca be ably to use more mbits to use more then one ice mining drone ?
I know the Rorq is getting a down grade on mining yields..
But still i think they should give the orca some more abillity to get more ore then a Exhummer.
Some things i was thinking about:

- Give the orca more Mbits (to use the ice mining drones (atleast 3, so 150 mbit)
- Give the orca the ability to fit one mining laser/strip miner

Yes the Rorq is the mighty industrial ship.. It got:
- Compress
- boost
- max mbits for all types of drones
- extreme cap of tanking
and so on...

i think the little orca deserves a little more yield then it gets now... :)

I fly a maxed out drone orca myself currently and it's fine. If it was anymore there would be little reason to ever be in a barge. The only things you can do to Max out the drone mining on the Orca are Drone Mining Rigs 2 Tech II 1 Tech 1 and then throw in 1-2 Drone Navigations. Then fit your tank in mid and in your highs your boosts for fleet bodies, tractor, salvager.

Go to town. If you want true max you will want to use Augmented Mining Drones but remember those will make you a much higher gank target as taking you would mean the gankers get 500-750 mil in loot just from the drones.

The Orca and Porpoise are not meant to be upgrades to Barges or Exhumers they are Industrial Command Ships they are there to make fleets of miners better not to be the end all of miners. With the right skills though those boosts can make a huge difference. I'm just lacking ICS V and Cybernetics V for the Mining Foreman Minklink myself already and I can boost an alts Covetor with Strip Miner IIs and only Mining Barge 3 cycle times to 90.4 secs.

If you want to get the most ore/ice as you possibly can you need to stick with Exhumers if you want a mining fleet support ship to max out fleet yields then you want the Orca.

The orca currently outmines an "unboosted" Mackinaw, which makes it the ultimate highsec solo miner somewhat ironically. (And that's before the overpriced augmented drones or the new mining specialization skill is taken into account.) A hulk still mines more however, and pretty much all exhumers mine much more once properly boosted.

A major advantage is that the orca is actually insurable, and capable of a MASSIVE buffer tank compared to any barges, and can do so without sacrificing mining capability.
