PLEX offers to travel in time a bit

I havent played EVE for more than three years and now trying to get back. Was pleased to discover that I still have plex in possession, so I want to upgrade my account with it, but I'm receiving some weird feedback from the game: my previous payed time period has expired 2013.05.05, and when 'm trying to add time with the plex, it says that it will make my omega account valid until 2013.06.04.

I dont really think that such major bug\scam can exist in EVE, but dont want to take my chances
Question is, is it safe to use plex to get omega if my last payment happened long before those updates with alpha\omega? Will I get omega status for 30 days from now?

That is a question that has come up a couple of times recently. The replies to the previous threads said that there were some PLEX given out as part of packs that had an expiry date.

I haven't seen any official word on this but the only way to get a definitive answer is to file a support ticket about it.

They also have a bug where the character selection screen shows "subscription remaining -1 days" for newly-created alpha accounts.

So it could be a display bug.

It's a pain in the behind, but after patching you should clear your cache files from c:\user\appdata\local\ccp\EVE (just the cache files not everything), and then see if you still see the same message.

Then create a support ticket, with screenshots, to ask them what to do.

Thanks for your replies, it really was just a display bug - I returned plex to the redeeming system and used it from the payment page.
