Best carrier for ratting sanshas post citadel

Ive read a lot concerning this and people seem to prefer thanatos over anything else but all those discussions were on before citadels ...


What goes these days?

I plan on ratting with it and doing some 10/10s if i find any. (sansha nation exclusevly)

What would work best? Would an archon be able to do that or do I have to go for the thanny for best ratting?

you are flying a carrier and can't say what's better for a specific task?

just look at the bonus no?
thanatos get bonus to fighters damage, and archon to armor resistance.....
with a proper fit rats won't be able to kill a capital.

that said, what you prefer? kill faster or tank better?

If i look at the stats the thanatos would seem to be the better choice for ratting since it gets bonuses to fighter damage and if it was that simple i would have gotten a thanatos already BUT ive assisted in a lenghty discussion about what carrier is best for various tasks and a there were a lot of good points for each of the carriers (except for the minm one, no one seems to like that thing).

A lot of people seemed to prefer the chimera for some reason which only confused me, why would that be better at ratting than a thanatos!?

I think for ratting DPS is the best stat however since the damage bonuses only apply to fighters and as we all know figher ai is stupid (no automatic behavior, have to babysit them all the time) most people seem to be using drones instead .. .a full flight of geckos and some light drones if im not mistaken which would make the thanatos bonuses worthless.


I guess my question should have been "what do most people use and why" instead ... ?

carries can't deploy drones anymore, only fighters.

best carriers to rat are the thanatos/nidhoggur.

nowdays people use supers(test) and titans(FCON) to rat btw you can find plenty of them on the kb xD

I wasnt aware of the fact that carrier cant field drones any longer. This should make the decision rather straight forward then.

Hi

This is pretty standard mate. With the current meta Nidhoggur is the BEST ratting carrier closely followed by Thanatos. Do not go for Chimera or Archon for ratting (you do not need their resist bonus for ratting cuz tank wouldn't be an issue while ratting in havens/sanctums), unless you have already purchased them. Nidhoggur/Thanatos with good skills and fit will give u around 60 mil/tick isk running havens/sanctums, and you will never get this sort of tick with Chimera or Archon. There are some nice carrier ratting guide on reddit.
