With a handful of ships and help form various bounty hunters and other pilots who have chosen to rise up, ganks were prevented and freighters were saved from the nefarious criminals known only as CODE. One of their infamous fleets, the Kusions, were in the system but so were a splinter group of four HSM pilots.

A fleet of CODE ships were hoping to gank innocent freighters but were prevented in doing so thanks to the coordination and inspiration from our brave Militia pilots, drawing various other bounty hunters and like-minded individuals to the CODE infested system of Uedama. Two waves were thwarted and no freighters were destroyed.

This is a major victory in the guerilla war our brave Militia pilots are fighting against CODE, protecting their homes, families, and livelihoods.

We hope to bring in more fighters and tell CODE... that High-Sec is OUR LAND!

For the glory of a free High-Sec!

Not knowing the groups involved personally, nor the exact circumstances, but this sounds like an announcement that could be great to see on the IGS. A chance for some of characters in the universe to react, offer congratulations, condemnation, suggest further interaction, all that jazz. :)

This is the fiction section.

May the market bless you and keep you;

May the market make its opportunities shine upon you and be profitable to you;

May the market lift up its margins upon you and grant you ISK.

Mhm, I am aware of that, but this announcement could also work in the IGS as a chance for world-building, role-play, and general story creation and progression.

It also seems more relevant there as it is less of a standalone story, such as you see here, intended to be consumed entirely OOCly but rather is an announcement that would have far more relevance and engagement from an IC angle.

Two? You are claiming victory over CODE by repelling only two waves?

It is so cute to see how naive you are. While you were celebrating, CODE. has almost 1700 kills just in the first 10 days of this month alone totaling over 440b isk in losses.

You are nowhere close to winning against CODE. Hilarious...

Mentioning that you have defeated CODE is defeating your overall mission.

CODE knows that it can truly never be defeated as the manufacturers, regardless of who they are in he surrounding systems applaud the effort of CODE to destroy great wealth. Destroying great wealth keeps CODE in business.

The only way to defeat CODE is too meet them at the station and prevent them was launching their attacks in the first place.

Because CODE are always RED keeping them from warping to their waypoints is the first step in blockading them.

The second step is much more difficult. CODE will obviously have thousands of way points set up in Uedama by now for their station of operation. If you watch ships on your scanner and find one moving around the system oddly then that is one of their way point makers which will probably be a throw a Alpha Clone that after several days of setting of new way points the Alpha Clone is tossed away to keep from being establishing a pattern and there fore tracked.

The best way to stop CODE from attacking is to employ the very best of the best of probe users that you can pay for in New Eden. Launch the probes and stay cloaked. The Probe Master should be able to lock down the way points of CODE within seconds before CODE jumps again to escape Concord.

Once the Probe Master has found the mass of CODE ships and locked onto the way point the probe ship should warp to the way point cloaked and set a way point.

Timing is critical in catching CODE at their way points.

You will need a lot of top of the line probe ships to catch CODE and no less than 25 ships with probes deployed in certain areas around the gates and constantly probing will catch CODE.

CODE exists on the spectacle of their actions. They exist on the taunt and slurs hurled at them in local. They exist to destroy even if being destroyed.

CODE will also make you think that you have won by not operating for a few weeks. During those few weeks they are not attacking freighters they will be out in the belts recruiting new barge pilots through the Permit Program or destroying the barges if they resist.

CODE however will never travel into Low Sector as they are outmatched against anything that requires skill and coordination and does not revolve around group ganking.

If you want to win against CODE then you have to find their connections to who manufactures their ships.

Or simply buy up any destroyers of the four races that are built in Uedama and the surrounding systems. A costly task to say the least but if you want to beat CODE you have to take their greatest asset away from them and that is their destroyers.

Without destroyers they will have to field cruisers which are much more costly and will eat into the profits of CODE's benefactors who supply them with ships.

Another tactic that is simple is to mass counter gank a CODE gank.

CODE usually operates in 20 to 30 destroyer fleets.

A ten ship Talos fleet can easily defeat CODE at any time.

A Talos has eight high slots that can be fit with eight 425 TII Railguns that can pummel CODE Ships.

Here is the fit-up.

High Slots - 8 x TII Railguns w / Javelin ammo
Medium Slot s - 4 x TII Sensor Boosters w / Scan Resolution Scripts
Low Slots - 3 x TII Magnetic Stabilizers, 2 x TII Co-Processors
Rig Slots - 1 x TI Medium Hybrid Collision Accelerator, 2 x - T I Medium Targeting System Sub-controller 1

Swap out any TII modules and ammo for TI if you are not able to equip TII.

With this set-up built in EFT the optimal range is 14km with falloff around 24km.
-turret DPS : 289
-volley DPS : 2113
-scan resolution: 824.7 mm

Drones are not used.

With ten Talos equipped in this manner that gives the Talos fleet a total of 80 railguns to use against CODE's 30 destroyer fleet.

That means each Talos will be required to target 4 CODE ships with two railguns each for a total of 40 ships. The ten extra ships are overlap.

Before overlapping each Talos the Talos will have the following target assignments:
-group 1 : 2 railguns / 1 primary destroyer
-group 2 : 2 railguns / 1 primary destroyer
-group 3 : 2 railguns / 1 primary destroyer

3 CODE ships assigned per Talos

-group 4 : 2 railguns / 1 secondary destroyer

4 CODE ships assigned per Talos

or

-group 4 : 1 railgun / 1 secondary destroyer

5 CODE ships assigned per Talos

-group 5 : 1 railgun / 1 secondary destroyer

6 CODE ships assigned per Talos

Each Talos should be assigned three targets per two railgun grouped slot prior to the counter attack with a special Overview created just for the assigned CODE targets and nothing more. Because of the 824.7mm scan resolution your Talos will lock up the destroyers very quickly allowing the Talos fleet to get the second and third shots off after CODE fires its first shot without CODE being able to fire a second shot.

Overlapping the targets will also ensure that a heavy volley is effected upon the CODE ships at the onset of the battle.

Your fleet might only destroy 20 to 25 CODE ships during the attack but reducing their fleet by more than half will effectively destroy their capability to gank.
