I'm looking at selling this toon or extracting it, not sure what the difference would be on return. I've never sold a toon before, can anyone give me an idea how much I could get for him?

You'll probably get more for selling him. Extracting takes away from the potential profit, as each extractor costs ISK or money themselves.
