Yes. An extractor is empty.

When it's activated, it changes from being an extractor to being an injector.

Injectors are about 600 mill.

Both extractors and injectors are sellable in the market, but they are different to each other.

Correct. Sold as empty for roughly that market value.

Once they are filled, they become skill "INJECTOR"s and sell for around 630 mil atm.

ok cool thanks,

I'm just trying to think about the best way to turn 3500 AUR into isk.

I am a miner, mission runner, and explorer...

or as EVE Online would have it...

Extractors will be relatively fast.

If you switch the market to Historical graph view, at the bottom you'll see some bars that represent the "volume" - how many of the items are traded each day. Get near Jita and you'll see that extractors, injectors, and PLEX are trade a lot more than the various clothes items or ship skins that you can otherwise buy with the Aur.

Although, if CCP introduces a ship skin or clothing item that's popular, you may see a better Aur->ISK conversion for a day or two.

EDIT: I think Aur is tradeable on the market too. Can't check right now.

EDIT2: You can also try to run the "Skill Injector" scam where you set up a trick contract that is named "Skill Injector" but sells a skill extractor for 600 million. Not sure if people actually fall for that, but you can try.

Extractor for a fast, sure deal.

There is a notable lack of SKINs on the market considering CCPs enormous marketing/effort to introduce them.
Frankly I wont be surprised if a SKIN will sell even faster and for more value than an extractor at a major trade hub.
Im near convinced there is some crazy person with too much isk that is buying them all up as their meta.
