EVE launcher sticking in "Checking GUI versions"

the problem began since yesterday. My launcher has always been checking GUI versions, and after a long while, it would say something like failing to get any gui version. The launcher is all blank save for that sentence during the process.
How to fix this?

Same issue here today - loaded an update for the launcher, and now stuck at "checking gui version"
all the good tips in other threads did not help so far
honestly, this is NOT ACCEPTABLE

In German we would say "verschlimmbessern" - why an update if the previous one worked fine and the update not?

CCCP, please repair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend has this problem too, but we tried everything that I've seen suggested (not just for this problem, for White-screened launcher in general), and nothing worked. I've tried to get him to submit a log/ticket to support, but he can't be bothered. (TBH, it's hard enough to get him to come back and play Eve for free as it is, so...)

my problen was solved after I uninstalled the game, deleted all game-related files and reinstalled. Though have to reset my UI lol

I too had white screen, I mean like completely white. It was solved by reinstalling the game, nothing else I tried worked. And I did not had any options in launcher visible.

I resolved the "I see only 1 character without the description and cant get into game" by veryfying the shared cache. I thought maybe it would work for more things.

Loaded a launcher patch yesterday (no patch notes), and getting a bunch of red boxes on the right side "cannot connect to launcher". But (after a brief white screen), it does load for me, and it lets me log into my account. I submitted a bug report and otherwise ignored it.

Sounds like CCP fubared the launcher with the last patch.

This is exactly why I didn't use the "Launcher" when we were able to create a shortcut to the .exe file; knew that it would have a problem like this.

I've seen this message twice already... Yesterday, and as of writing, now(today).

Locked out too.ccp keeping quiet on this **** up?
Ive tried everything I can think of with no luck.Anyone have an answer?
