No. It is the EVE equivalent of a poorly-fitted push-up — it doesn't help, but people will look and laugh more.

I thought I remembered reading that this will work if you put a container inside of a container. I.e. you need to put your stuff at least 2 levels deep in a hierarchy of containers. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if this was actually a joke. It does sound a little absurd. OTOH, it makes some sense as it does limit the size of the items you can carry.

I've also heard you could assign a courier contract to an alt and the courier container cannot be scanned.

Its funny that the orca was changed long, long ago, and people still don't know.

IIRC, it was originally a bug that devs couldn't fix so they never really announced the change.

Although, i don't think it will show up on a killmail or drop if its in the corp hanger.

I thought the fix was just to make NPC scanning work on them. I could be wrong though, since it's not something that's relevant to my gameplay, so I'm relying on the hearsay of other players for the info.

Orca corp hangar can be scanned by NPCs. That was the fix because they were the ultimate smuggling ship. Not a change to cargo scanning.

How dare they look up my cargohold?Oops

Anyhoo, is there any way of keeping others from seeing your cargo?Ugh

You can put your stuff in a can and courier it to yourself from an alt. You can use the Orca's corp hangar. One of those options tells a would-be suicide ganker that you've got something worth hiding, so it's probably more valuable than the cost of the gank.

hmm, wonder how much it costs to insure and what the payout is on an orca, be funny to see 1 trit drop if it doesnt cost too much, comming soon to a jita amarr pipe near you.

::facepalm:: That wasn't the one that acts like a beacon to gankers. When they scan a doublewrapped can they see a can. It being doublewrapped is the only time a scanner will see a packaged can in a cargo hold (they're totally invisible otherwise).
