Refitting capitals in space

A long time ago in a universe far, far away, the World of Nab- errm no wait, different story.

Last night on SiSi I was playing with the refitting service of a dreadnought of a fleet mate and I think there are some things that need a little love.

So be gentle, I don't do this very often but refitting a gun on a dread is a real pain, especially when the guns are unpacked and you want to change all 3 guns on your dread.

What I wanted to do is to switch out my launchers with 3 other launcher that I just brought with me and thought it would be a good idea to use the fitting service of that carrier next to me but 3x unpacked capital guns are 4000m³ each and once you fit the other guns, you cannot put the unpacked ones in your fleet hangar because they are too big.

So I was thinking, why can't we repackage modules in our fleet hangar and wouldn't that be awesome if we could?

they were made that big so you couldn't do exactly what you are trying to do w/o needing to use someone elses hanger OR jet your guns. The fact that Dreads can do this at all is one of the main things that makes carriers useless in many fleets

The emphasis was more on the module repackaging in fleet hangar than refitting. Though that would be a nice side effect.
