CCP graphical artists/developers:

Consider, at some point in the future, moving some ship's center of gravity into their respective hulls.

I understand such an undertaking might be horrible, but it would look much better once effects are applied to, or from the ship. As it stands, some ships, have the annoying detail of missiles appearing from thin air (we believe they might be changed in the future, but untill then) and have to see the lens effect being applied to a emtpy space rather than a hull.

TL;DR: Make all ship's graphical center of gravity applied into the ship's hull. Some moving aroundi s needed. Would make some effects look much better.
