yes EVE would be greatly improved with unlimited cloaky (cyno) alts and entosis alts in every system that is a fine idea

You know what? Playing an mmorpg is not about the game so much, it's about the people you play with. If you have the feeling you're wasting your time playing with a community, then it's time to take your leave.

Why did you wait for Alphas if you haven't used it at all? What?

I've just relogged after a two year break to see what all this alpha clone business is about. This thread has me confused. Can someone clarify that an alpha clone can jump in a T1 frigate, fleet up with friends, go tackle someone and call in their new fleet friends to finish the poor guy off?

Or do I have to still pay for that privilege?

Yes you can and no, you don't have to.

There's just a lot of entitlement going on.

Alphas are basically "WAHH GIBSMEDAT" and will continue to do it until there is no difference between an Alpha and Omega clone.

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

The vets will all abuse that with free whatever alphas, while the new players will put a bunch of SP into mining, and then become frustrated that all they can do is mine and their character is practically useless. It won't end well.

I'm going to build a big wall that will keep the Gallente out, and they're going to pay for it!

Well since I came to see the free part of the game I have to admit the first mining ship I looked at to buy required a subscription so I just rolled my eyes and thought about playing Phantasy Star Online for free instead, lol. Pretty sad really, lol. But I have a life these days and don't really play video games. The thing is youre always getting screwed when you play a video game. Paying to waste your time and life is a double slap in the face. and these hardcore losers who have several accounts running at the same time etc have serious problems. i dont have a problem with it having free low level stuff. you can get your fix and leave like I always do and know you can use the same account instead of making another trial account. Even when I paid I didn't really wanna play this crappy game. It's a cool game just crappy.

I pay to play eve because I like it. If you don't like it, you're free to not play it, but I fail to see how I'm wasting my life doing something I like.

That's a big relief. For a horrible moment there I thought alpha clones couldn't fleet up, use comms and join a RvB slosh op grinder fleet smash.

I would call it free to play if we could train 5mil sp WITHOUT limitations on the skills to use nor ships up to cruisers of any kind

CCP needs to change it to this.

Read Malcanis's post, looks like you missed it.

Did you think CCP released this expansion without any thought of the consequences? They said they've considered this for years, but now you thought for a minute and decided what's best for the game? Why do you consider only new players are Alphas?

Think for more than one minute and the abusement that can come out of it and then write your suggestions.

Game must be really good if people come hear demanding limitations to be lifted just few days after it became free. No way. Pay them.

Indeed. For once, CCP have really put some thought into a major change, and they've been really thorough about protecting the existing game from the very many abuses and imbalances that unrestricted F2P would cause. I will freely admit that I was genuinely surpised and pleased when I actually read the initial announcement. When I saw the title I was all "OMFG WHAT HAVE YOU MANIACS DONE THIS IS IT I QUIT FOR- oh, huh, they really thought this one through: actually this is pretty smart and should be really good for the game"

But, it is free? You can play as an alpha for free. And alphas can be pretty effective, and this isnt the one ajd only iteration. Just like RuneScape let you do things without a sub. If you want to do more things you need a sub. It's literally the point of these types of things to dangle the carrot.

Effective at what exactly?

What areas of gameplay do you think alphas can't participate in?

TL;DR: Alpha clones are effective at playing the game and participating in the community with all manner of activities.

Yes, you have restrictions. You're not paying for the account but you still get access to every single player in the game. I think that's pretty gosh-darned good value.

Did you stop for half a second, OP, and consider what you're saying? Your entire position in this thread boils down to the quote above.

Now that you see how those lacking your overblown sense of entitlement view your position, how do you think CCP sees it?
