hello,

i have a question about control towers ...

as i notice station reprocessing is kind of low on mineral return,
i was wondering if it would be beneficial to set up a small control tower with a reprocessing unit
to have a better yield from reprocessesing ,

am i right on this ?

i'm still learning

Station reprocessing varies between 30% and 50% with skills and implants you can get roughly 70% yield from a 50% facility and taxes vary from 0% to 5% depending on standing.

Citadel reprocessing is either 52% or 54% depending on the rigs installed. Taxes are set by the owner. Skills will push your potential yield into the low 70% range.

POS (control tower) reprocessing is 52% in highsec plus skills. These are corporate assets so you will need to be in a player corporation who owns the POS. There are no taxes. POS are end of life and will be removed from the game as soon as the new structures achieve feature parity.

The next structure to be released is the drilling platform which will have bonuses for reprocessing and should provide better yield.

Historical note: A couple of years ago you could easily achieve 100% yield. CCP dropped the % yield but increased the mineral content of the ore to compensate so actual yield stayed the same. The only casualty was scrap metal reprocessing which took a massive hit (intended).
