Someone else trying to convince himself he's not playing a F2P game.

All those F2P games have some gimmick to force non-paying players to pay via an item mall or some other pay wall in order to advance through the game.

Like Omega clones with their 2x training speed and access to all the ships and skills?

Well, the argument that they are constantly improving and therefore need to charge money is invalid.
GTA Online dishes out a ton of content and you only pay for the game once. The rest is optional.
This F2P model feels like The Old Republic one. I just found out about the F2P, logged on and noticed that almost all my skills are unavailable. Honestly guys, it's like you hate the free players so much you are only going to let them fly in shuttles and other small ships.
Do you really have to limit so much? At least let me train any skill I want, even though I can't use it.

So you can train characters to sell for free??

Even if that's not what you're trying to do, that's what will happen.
