Socket always closes on character creation identity section

I've been trying to create a new character but the socket always closes after the "Portrait" section and without being able to load the "Identity" section no matter how long I take in the other sections. Something that's made infinitely worse by the fact that I have to start again from the beginning every single time because EVE does not even have the ability to save the appearance of the character that I worked so hard to create. Cry I know its not a problem on my side because I'm able to play on another character just fine and I've done everything from restarting the launcher, my computer, my router, etc. And tips like keeping the help channel open are obviously something I can't do when I can't even get past character creation.

Already submitted a bug report with a log file (EBR-100569) but CCP Darwin told me on Reddit to try posting here as well, thank you all in advance. Smile

Do we have any confirmation if this worked? I've already been trying to vpn with WTF to fix this myself - with no luck... also tried keeping a steady ping connection -t in the background with no luck...

Any other info?
