OK here is a puzzler. I dock in a Spacelane Patrol station. Why? No real reason. The station is convenient to a few places I do business and it has some lvl 2 and 3 agents that I accept mission from.

I have amassed about 10k loyalty point and I was going to buy some implant's. so I select the implant and the "exchange LP's" button is grayed out. I have the LP. i have the ISK There are no other required Items. When I hover over the button I see a message:

"You do not have enough CONCORD LPs to exchange any to Spacelane Patrol LPs"

Am I missing something fundamental here? Why would I need CONCORD LP's to buy stuff from the Spacelane LP store? Further what the heck can i do with these LPs? I have been able to spne LP's that I earned from other corps without CONCORD LPs'

Can anyone help me out here? What am I missing?

you are trying to exchange lp for spacelane lp, you can convert CONCORD LP to any faction lp, you have no concord lp

The Exchange LP button is for people who do Faction Warfare PVP to change their Concord points to SpaceLane Patrol LP points or Federal Navy LP points or other specific LP points so they can buy items with those LPs (because Concord doesn't have a store).

To spend your Spacelane Patrol LP points, dock at a Spacelane Patrol station, and from the Station buttons click the LP Store button, then browse that list and click the Buy button for the items you want.

LPs are like ISK, and the LP Store is like a market interface. You don't right-click the ISK in your wallet to spend it, you go to the market and Buy what you need, and the ISK gets subtracted from your wallet. LP's are the same, open the LP Store of the station where you are, and buy the stuff you want, and the LP will be subtracted from your wallet.
