Mercenary Academy is the training alliance for the legendary Mercenary Coalition, the first and oldest mercenary alliance in EVE. Founded back in 2004, the MC is a storied alliance with a rich history. The member corps of the current day MC include names that have endured in EVE for over a decade. MC is led by EVE veterans that have seen the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. It is these people and corporations who wish to pass on their knowledge and support to a new generation of EVE players.

The motto of the Mercenary Coalition is, "It's about the person next to you." With that in mind, Mercenary Academy strives to hold true to that ethos by building a community within a community, one that encourages taking bold initiatives and understanding that even after years of play there are still new things to learn.

The goal of Mercenary Academy isn't to provide a meat shield or cannon fodder for Mercenary Coalition. We want to build professional killers that can make their own choices. There is a focused interest in encouraging you to learn and to help grow the EVE community by taking those who may pick up the game in passing and trying to hook them into something bigger.

By teaching the core of PVP - manual piloting, scouting, large and small gang combat and supplementing that with knowledge and skills in isk making activities like Mining, or Exploration, we're building a player base that not only has a plethora of activities to encourage you to subscribe and fly Omega clones, but we're giving you the training to potentially PLEX your accounts (basically playing for free).

How is Mercenary Academy different from other ‘training corps’?

Being part of the ‘Mercenary Family’, you will become part of a mature community that believes in treating you like an adult. We are brothers and sisters who look out for each other and those who pay us to look out for them. Sexism, racism and bullying are not tolerated under our flags.

While there is a definite focus on fun and we provide you with many of the tools you will need, MA’s primary goal is to produce professional killers. While other organizations will just throw you into the meat grinder again and again to encourage ‘learn by doing’, only in MA will you have the benefit of a cadre of dedicated and experienced instructors guiding you through a structured PVP education with the end goal of making you the best pilot you can be.

Mercenary Academy is an alliance comprised of a tiered corp structure. Each corp represents a level of training and each higher tier will be tasked with helping the tiers below it learn and grow.

Mercenary Coalition Training Academy - This initial tier is accessible by anyone with an interest in learning pvp. Fresh off the new player experience, a player can join in and start training, Alpha or Omega Clones makes no difference.

Mercenary Coalition Advanced Warfare School - After mastering the core fundamentals of Eve, you will progress / graduate to here. A middle corp, for more experienced recruits, this corp will still accept Alphas. This corp focuses more on the pvp aspect of Eve. This is also an entry point for veteran players who are new to PVP or for players who have been absent from the game and wish to get back into the swing of things. The goal of this 2nd tier is to teach the player more refined combat skills and introduce them to more advanced topics. For some this will be an end point and students are welcomed to hang out here indefinitely, but for those who want to continue their journey...

Mercenary Coalition Fleet Command School - A top tier corp for Omega clones almost ready to transfer up to MC. At this point in the program you will have the option to join MC fleets and get a feel for how they operate. This will be the only tier in which MA pilots will be able to access MC fleets and services.

Well, it's day # 2 at the Mercenary Coalition Training Academy and I have already racked up some juicy fights! Best decision I have ever made! I have flow with completely new pilots get their first shots, and tackles in, shout out to Mirage Child!

We hit a milestone last night for our merry band of mercenary students - our first structure bash! After an aborted attempt over the weekend, due to a certain logistics guy not having a POCO ready (me), we went at the same POCO again. The target put up some minor resistance but our steadfast destroyer team turned them into dust and scared them off. We then anchored our first POCO of many for our students to reap the benefits of!

If you think that you would enjoy the nomadic life of a mercenary, we offer a range of classes for important fleet roles such as logi (space priests), scouting, tackling, manual piloting, black ops, and much more. There are even regular events on the test server, scenarios where we practice and compete in a tournament environment.

Just recently joined, great group of people and extremely helpful. Fleets/classes every day to keep you pew pew needs in check. Def a +1 from me.
