2016/11/18 - Short Unscheduled Downtime

Hey guys,

Tranquility will be taken offline in 10 minutes at 12:47 UTC while we resolve a database issue.

At this stage we're unsure how long the cluster will be offline, but the downtime should be relatively short while we check things over.

The Community Team will keep you up to date in this thread with further details.

12:37 UTC - 10 MINUTE SHUTDOWN TIMER INITIATED
12:47 UTC - TRANQUILITY IS OFFLINE
12:54 UTC - CLUSTER IS STARTING UP
12:58 UTC - TRANQUILITY IS BACK ONLINE IN VIP MODE
13:04 UTC - TRANQUILITY IS SHUTTING DOWN FOR A DB FAILOVER
13:15 UTC - TRANQUILITY IS ONLINE IN VIP MODE FOR TESTING
13:22 UTC - REBOOT FOR MORE DATABASE WORK
13:31 UTC - TRANQUILITY IS ONLINE IN VIP MODE FOR TESTING
13:52 UTC - TRANQUILITY REBOOTING AGAIN DUE TO FURTHER DATABASE ISSUES
14:12 UTC - TRANQUILITY IS ONLINE AND ACCEPTING CONNECTIONS - WE ARE MONITORING THE DATABASE

Can you disclose the reason? I'm really curious! :D

EDIT: German versions says it's unusually high server load. Hope you find the culprit, good luck!

Also, just FYI, that the notifier on the launcher stated 11:47 GMT.

I heard the Devs had a big fallout with the RHU (Running Hamster Union) and had to break a few legs ala HTFU, now having issues finding hamsters that can still run

Its not that the Dev's have never been hi-sec miners, more that if they ever admitted it they'd be designing new pattern's in the dust as they sweep the car park. Would you employ someone who spends all day mining in hi?
