Does anyone know the comparison for mining barges and exhumers total yields for ore mining.

Im currently in a retriever and im wondering if it is worth the extra efffort to train up for a Mackinaw.

If its only a 5% increase in yield i am happy where i am.

Ive looked everywhere and cannot find any info.

Thanks for the help

(Im not worried about ganking as im 25 jumps from any form of hub and never see anyone very much beyond locals)

No idea really. I'm not that good at maths but the thought of sitting mining in a Retreiver with CODE throwing their weight about in hi-sec makes me shudder.

Do yourself a favour and train to pilot something a bit more robust. A Procurer can give a good account of itself with some decent combat drones. Sitting in anything less is just painting a target on your back the way things are right now.

Given the numbers if you go into exhumers use a skiff. Yes you lose a small amount of yield but given the price of exhumers vs the price of ore, the loss of a single one would take a lot of hours to make up.

Especially when you consider your ehp in a skiff fully tanked is over 100k ehp and I get 1535m3 per 145.8s

A quick look at a mack in the simulated fitting shows with little tank it would mine 1673m3 per 145.8 with around 21k ehp

so 138m3 per 145 seconds.

I prefer the 100K+ ehp tank tank. You can probably get a higher yield, but that would mean bugger all tank.

Given most of the bonus is now in cycle time, in a max harvest retreiver for myself, the cycle time is 162 seconds so 17 seconds faster in an exhumer but still 1673m3

The CSM gets in the way of CCP communicating properly with the players of this game.

After all we are not just players, we are customers.

Time for the CSM to be disbanded.

Mackinaws are cool, but Hulks are my favorites.

The Macki on its face isn't any better than a Ret. Add in T2 strips and crystals and it's much higher in yields. Even T2 Strips won't perform any better than T1 until you add the crystals but I used to multi-box mine with 2xT1 and a T2 and the T2 out mined both the T1 combined.
