Orca Made not Viable Within Null sec with new Patch

As all of you know the Mining part of the game got pretty much overhaul with this new patch.

But what it did for me was that they decreased the effeciency of an Orca in Null sec.

As it is Porpoise mines as much as an Orca with Drones.

Porpoise can give needed boosts as an Orca.

The Main difference is Alignment Speed between those 2.

Space for Ore.

What i would like to see is Drone Bandwidth for the Orca to be Increased to 250mb or that the bandwidth for Ice Harvesting Drones be Lowered to simular Value of the Mining Drones.

Just my 2 cents about this patch :).

Or you know, you could just fly a Porpoise.

I'm confused: how does the introduction of one ship lower the efficiency of another? Didn't the Orca get buffed anyways, like by a poop ton?

"As it is Porpoise mines as much as an Orca with Drones." - Not quite no. While they have the same drone bandwidth the Orca has twice the role bonus strength. With the same rigs/mods for the task the Porp only gets ~75% of an Orca's drone yield.

"Porpoise can give needed boosts as an Orca." - True but as above the orca does it better with allowing a 3rd busrt, better bonus to foreman burst effects and a bonus to shield burst that the Porp lacks.

Everything the Porpoise does as a booster, ore storage and miner the Orca does better really.

I've got two Porpoise and three Orca sitting in the dock. They both serve well as initial boosting ships. Even the Orca is not that difficult to build, having only a few Capital parts. The big difference is the drone use. Orca putting out as much paper DPS as a well flown Battleship on grid along with shield boosting and a 300K EHP. Put a few of those on the same grid and you've got a party in the belt. It takes a Capital drop, Black Ops, or Multiple T3D to cause any concern.
