So, there's a big issue with this move to the ship fitting tool. We no longer get the nice mouse overs when fitting our ships. We have to move to simulation mode. This should be changed. I should be able to mouse over a mod and see how it will impact my CPU / PG, this made perfect sense and is a horrible reversion. There's a larger issue here. If I'm in the middle of fitting a ship and click the simulation button, that half fit ship should appear so that I can then see the CPU / PG impact of my current fit (since it's been removed from the fitting window).

This doesn't happen, instead it shows me the last fit I had in the simulator or it shows me the original fit before I started modifying it. Both of these are sub-optimal, as It's now a PITA to change a module or two and see if they fit. I have to switch to simulation mode, change the fit, see if it works, change back to fitting and refit the ship. If I forget when leaving the simulator to apply the fit then I end up undocking with my old fit. This needs some serious improvement because right now ship fitting anything other than a saved fit is more difficult and time consuming that it was previously.

I agree, at the very least when entering simulation mode the current ship fit should be the one displayed so you can make adjustments easier. As it stands now you need to rework the entire fit from the ground up using the cluttered market interface in order to achieve the intended result. Whilst I believe a simulation mode that includes active modules is long overdue, the current system is inefficient and still eclipsed by fitting tools due to how tedious the process is.

Agreed. This was definitely a step backwards and needs some remediation. It needs to be easy to see fitting changes by mouse-over and the active (not last) fit should load up in the ghost mode. I also agree that ghost mode should be very different (not just slightly) from the fitting window so that you don't change the fitting in ghost mode and then undock thinking you'd actually fit the modules.
