Hello CCP,

Just a quick question. I used to know where to find the stored settings for my characters. I was wanting to duplicate the settings off this toon for an alt and I can't find the alt's settings where I used to.

UI settings.

You can manage different profile settings via launcher. View > Client Settings

So you are saying that I can duplicate my main characters UI via the launcher to other characters? That is what you are sayin, right? Not the face that I can manage multiple UI set-ups for the same character. We are speaking of the same thing I hope.

I think with that function you can‘t copy your UI setup (like window arrangements etc) to another character, but you can copy your client settings such as resolution and graphics settings.

There used to be away to basically copy one characters whole UI to another. I know where the old folder is, it still list my omega accounts in it. The thing that gets me, since the expansion my alpha accounts don't show up in this settings. So I can't do what I used to do to save like 4 hours worth of set up.

CCP seems to have moved the account and character settings somewhere making it impossible for me to duplicate my mains UI settings and change the file name to match that of my alpha characters.

I also use it to help corp mates set up their UIs faster when when they are new, to help them not get so much on screen that they get swamped.

I was looking for this too. I'm switching from a Mac to a Windows box for EVE and trying to move my profile and other settings over to the PC. I finally managed to find it though.

If you look here (note, you have to put in your own system **username** in two places):

/Users/**username**/Library/Application Support/EVE Online/p_drive/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/SharedCache/wineenv/drive_c/users/**username**/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/c_tq_tranquility/

Then you should be able to find directories of your setting profiles. I was copy to copy these directories over to my Windows computer so this should be doing what you want.

I have that folder set up to an alias in my documents folder. But the accounts for my alpha clones and my alpha clone characters themselves are not generating the character codes. So I can't redo them.

Way past my bed time, but I have the weekend off so. . . I thought i would do a little digging and guess what. . . I found the character settings files now. . . for all my characters.

So now I can duplicate my settings between all my characters in like 2 minutes vs the 2 hrs it would have taken.

So for those who would like to have their character UIs the same
From the Finder > hold alt and click the go button in the menu > Library > Application Support > EVE Online > p_drive > Local Settings > Application Data > CCP > EVE > Shared Cache > wineenv > drive_c > users > (username) > Local settings > application data > CCP > EVE > c_tq_tranquility (or sever of choice) > settings_default

That will put you in the folder with all the character UI settings and account settings. have fun.

edit: duplicating account settings seems to have reverted my clients to fullscreen, so that didn't work but the UI seems to match up.

Yep just duplicate settings and keep an extra one so if/when a settings profile gets corrupted you can just delete it and use the copy.
