gratz ccp to yet another fail

Like i care what you people think of my post.
I post my point of view on it, yes i dont check dev blogs often ( only for updates and new expansions )
Just because im not a forum troll like u people that read like every post in every category doesnt make me blind to all info sended out.
I login, check corporation alliances topics and crime and punishment, after that i login game and play it.
It wasnt ingame announced at login screen, if it did it was clouded by the constant updates since i dont play every day.
I dont get emails from ccp since im not subscribed to them.
Anyway again there is no reason to call me a **** just because i express my opinion or point of view, read the sticky topic about the redeeming ull see im by far not the only one, im just the only one posting it in a new topic.
Anyway i wasnt expecting anything less

Like the developers, I too work 70 and lately 80 hours a week. Oh my does my back hurt from trudging across tundra gathering reindeer poop to give to all the kiddies who have time to send their letter to Santa. I do hope you've all been good this year.

Of course my dev character doesn't need anything, but I forgot to pick my gift for my player character (and no, I didn't mean to write the forum post as that character, we can just post without it being flagged so much and that's what I meant to do P)

I don't want to petition it, because it was entirely my fault... I'm always on these forums, people around me were talking about it and I just knew what I had to do and didn't do it in tiime.... no need to add more work for my co-workers who are busy helping you guys Smile

I, too, was 100% aware of how and when to redeem my gift. I, too, forgot like a jackass. Just like putting a coke in the freezer to get cold and just exploding it instead. le sigh.

You don't even have to login to the game, just browse the news on the official website.

And if you fail to understand a clearly written date or fail on converting a UTC date to whatever your local TZ is then you don't deserve any presents.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

it was posted in the news at least once or twice (lrn2read damned well anything)
it was posted in a splash when you log in (lrn2stop doing drugs)
it was posted in several non-devblog threads on the forums (lrn2stop lying)
It was however not crammed up your ass on the end of a firecracker, which is apparently what it takes to get your attention.

You don't deserve a Christmas Gift from CCP. You don't deserve to complain that you missed it. You don't really even deserve to post on the forums since you cba'd to keep up on what is likely the most spammed news item in 3 years.

edit: @CCP karkur: My tinfoil hattery tells me that you're on a mission from CCP to post on the forums on Christmas EVE making it look like CCPers care, but my sensibility says it's pretty awesome that you are here posting on Christmas EVE. It's not like you're customer service guys who just have to suck it up and work on holidays (and thanks to you guys too, I've had to do it in different customer service industries as well.)

As I mention in the sticky thread, for those that believe it was a massive failure to not send out an EVE mail in addition to everything else (including twitter and I believe facebook), the only result would have been this addition to the complaint posts:

"I get far to many emails in game to read all of them, in fact I have blink turned off on my neo com so that I won't be bothered. Not only that, but I haven't logged on in the last month, so how could I possibly have received an EVE mail about it? What a stupid notification system, CCP is fail."

If they managed to successfully avoid every other form of communication tried, I'm sure they would have managed to screw this one up as well.

Patience is wearing thin with the current level of idiocy in the EVE community.

You CAN open it on Christmas... but like most Christmas gifts you have to let someone actually know what you want BEFORE Christmas.

Children all over the world understand how this works, it's not a difficult concept.

There were mulitple announcements on the login screen, either you are not active or forgot, either case is not CCPs fault.
