Question about going from Trial to FTP

Hello I am new to Eve, thought I would try out the free trial to get a sense of Eve so when Eve goes Free to Play on Tuesday will my free trial automatically switch to the Alpha clone state or what will I need to do?

Yes, your trial should automatically convert to an alpha clone. ID think the only thing you'll have to do is verify your email if you haven't already. Also, expect a long downtime and potentially, the game might not even be playable after the downtime is over. They are making some fundamental changes to the game, and I'll be surprised if they don't accidentally make something unstable.

That said, I am looking forward to dusting off one of my alt accounts and working through the new player experience.

FYI, the redone npe is only going to be available to new "out of the box" accounts come the patch.
Just roll a free one and test it on that

Yeah, I was going to roll an alt to see what the new NPE is like, so I could give advice here if necessary. But that apparently won't work; have to do it on Sisi, or create a new account (which I might, since it's free).

I wonder if that means they're removing the current tutorials for alt characters on current accounts
