personal, I would lobby for removal of standalone Sig rad/exp rad in missile damage formula. and have damage calculate by Sig rad/exp rad multiple exp vel / target vel

except for a few broken cases when are missiles not a joke? maybe RHML and that is only if the target is outside 15k and you don't have support.

I had a discussion last night about a torp phoenix vs a fleet thanatos.

even with a damage application mod on the phoenix, its total applied dps is 226

226 dps from a capital against a capital.....





a moros vs the same thanatos applies 2900 dps.

it's not like they can use the old excuse of "preventing blap phoenix" because the numbers are no where near close to letting that happen

huh...where'd the guns come from? And uncharacteristic of eve player base...many did not complain about this. New feature not sisi tested extensively, hell they wouldn't even return missile sp's.....and yet many users were genuinely happy. Magic could strike twice lol....



Different situation entirely. Nag was two guns one launcher, and they'd been steadily killing off the awful split weapon systems of old. Phoneix has always been a missile boat.


The all gun option also didn't create a copy of something that already existed. There were no all projectile caps. A shield moros is what we would end up with.

The pre-patch phoenix was boarderline. if you put enough isk into application, then yes it was a blap phoenix. but the same could be said for any of the dreads.

now, you could officer fit it and it still wont get anywhere near the application. and if you want to use it in a fleet scenario... just forget it....


Torp phoenix against a Customs office, only gets 2072 applied dps against a Stationary target! paper dps with that fit is 9957.

its a none moving structure for petes sakes

This will bring the Phoenix and Leviathan closer to other Dreads / Titans for dps and application and make them useful again.

Howabout instead we make capital ships actually slower than battleships? That way we don't have to make Phoenix able to **** all over battleships with XL missiles.
