Deleted original wrong reply. Doh.

In relation to the Shadow of Serp, we don't know. It was the first time and I'm not sure it was a huge success.

I have seen many people runing those sites, but also complaining that its too grindy, so the plan for future wil be probably moving more rewards into loot, and diminishing amount of points people have to get for final reward. Also adding more different rare spawns would probably help. Like Serpentis battleship rarely, droping something nice like implants.

The Christmas event last year was Operation Frostline - also involving Serpentis. https://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/operation-frostline

Event rewards were quite generous but normal Christmas gifts were limited to fireworks.

I recall a December release was mentioned in one of the Vegas presentations but there is nothing on the Updates site yet. It wouldn't surprise me if they simply reprise last years event - the new content for this year will be arriving Tuesday!

The event was a fail.

It was a grind. No reward drops and no conflict.

The last blood event got it right again though. Payout drives conflict
