Extra Overview Tab: What To Do With It

I've got a tab that I call Points, some call it a Warp To, others call it a Nav tab. Thing is I've recently discovered the right click thing that basically gives to me all the functionality that I have in the Points tab and so I find that I'm not using that tab anymore. Now whether the right click thing was there all the time and I've just discovered it or it's something new CCP has delivered unto us I really don't know, all I know is that I've an extra tab I could probably do something else with.

My other four tabs are:
Default: Everything, especially useful in sneaking around cloaked, avoiding all those pesky colliders and a bunch of other stuff.
Ships: Just what it says, all the ships I can see, blue ones, red ones, green ones, drones, all that. Works for me.
Asteroids: I do a lot of mining with multiple miners and I like to have multiple asteroids lined up, awaiting harvesting.
Wrecks: Do a lot of salvaging, mostly rat kills in the belts but other stuff as well.

Other than mining and salvage I do Planetary Interaction, manufacturing, the occasional worm hole dive, lo/null-sec ratting and some other stuff probably shouldn't go into here. I don't do fleets, nor engage in gang fights, so don't need any tabs for that, not yet, anyways. I'm not saying that I never will, but not for now.

Just wondering what t do with my extra tab and I know that here, in the Eve forums, I'll be told in many, many different ways just what exactly I can do with my extra overview tab.

Could create a 'Travel' tab, just have gates, stations, planets and sun on it. That makes it easy to quickly find a Celestial Object to warp to when in a hurry.

Or you could separate Drones from the Ships tab and put Drones on that extra tab. Nothing worse than having to scroll through your Overview looking for a ship when swamped by a bunch of Drones.

Structures: basically anything a player can deploy, such as mobile deployables, anchorable cans, POCOs, POS', Citadels, Indie Complexes, and the such. Then again, considering how many Citadels there are already in some systems and with the aforementioned soon-to-be Indie Complexes, might be best to actually make one filter just for them alone so as not to crowd your overview. In fact, might also keep MTUs either not shown or part of a Citadels/Indie Complex filter due to the very same reason.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

I have 5 tabs, PVP, Drones, Loot, Travel, and Scan.

PVP is obvious. I will swap to different ones if I'm actually PVE'ing so I can see rats. I have corpmates, alliance mates, and fleet mates filtered.

Drones are for Drones. I have corpmates, alliance mates, and fleet mates filtered.

Loot. Literally nothing but Loot boxes, MTU's, etc. This is strictly for when I'm salvaging.

Travel. I tend to keep this one open the most. It's all gates, planets, gates, and any ship including my own fleet, corpmates, alliance. No drones, loots, etc.

Scan is what I use for dscan. I made a seperate variant of this tab for a few extras that I wouldn't want in my overview, but would want on my directional scanner window. I note wrecks, forcefields, other ships obviously. I don't mine often but I've got another one I would throw here to see and approach asteroids, gases, and ices.

Appreciate all the responses and as my game play evolves I may use some of these, I really like the GTFO (thanks RKG). But the impetus for the original post was the fact that I've discovered, after three years in game, that most, if not all, traveling, jumping, warping, all that, can be accomplished through a contextual right click pretty well anywhere in the GUI where stations, gates, planets, moons and even BM's stand ready for selection. Nowadays I find that I pretty well default to the right click instead of using my "Points" tab, which is where all the travel functionality used to be. And thereby hangs the tale of the "Extra Tab".

But as I write these words I'm thinking of specialized uses for when I'm doing other stuff, like actually exploring instead of just riding around wormholes, and yes, maybe drones, especially sentry drones. I lost a Tristan once just sitting off a moon admiring a well put together control tower, forcefield and all the stuff inside when suddenly I was flying a pod instead of a Tristan.

Bottom line, I guess, is do something I've never done before then maybe, just maybe, I'll find something for that extra tab to do.

Again, thanks for all the comebacks.
