The most fascinating thing about Jita for me has always been the fact that on Serenity - the chinese server - Jita is also the trade hub, because all the 3rd party infos in the web - referencing TQ - stated that it was.

So everyone went there. So everyone sold there. And thus, it became.

Yep, agents too. The ice and agents went away at around the same time the gates around jita were moved and the "avoid" was added to AP, 2006, early 2007 I think it was.

Yesss Yesss avoid Jita like a plague carrier I will.

Actually I have been there and seen it. I even bought stuff there. Point of actual fact I find better deals on things a lot closer to where I operate than Jita is. If you also account for travel time in the cost of things I have no reason to go to Jita. It is nice to know there is a place you can go and find everything in the game for sale in one system for a reasonable price but then I am a simple man and I don;t need everything in the game. In point of fact I just need a handful of ships fitted for whatever task I wish to perform and a place close by to replace them and the fittings should what I am doing cause me to lose one.

There is no lowsec or nullsec "central hub", but there are regional hubs, especially in Sov nullsec. Most sov holders will usually have their "HQ" system (i.e. VFK-IV for Goons, 6VDT-H for TEST, etc.) and this system will usually serve as the market hub for the alliance and its allies.

Jita for a bargain? I think not.. You can go two jumps from Jita and get cheaper prices on most anything, and a few more jumps and you can sell for a better price than what Jita buyers are paying. Jita is for suckers and scammers. One place for each party to meet each other in perfect harmony.

Intaki is (was?) a decent trade hub for a lowsec system. Nothing on the scale of the big highsec hubs of course, but it was certainly possible to fit up a number of combat ship for a decent price .

Ad hom nom nom nom nom. Your logic is clearly undeniable here. Clearly anyone who can't discern sarcasm through text MUST be an inbred redneck, beer swilling, Jesus praising son of a gun!
