Question about starting a third-party service

So, let's say I wanted to start up a third-party service for (mainly) super sales.

With freeport keepstars being a thing, and the fact that there are other people offering third-party services that are extremely well known and recommended...

How would I put myself out there? Does anyone involved in that business have any insight? I want to get into this business because there's a lot of money(and friends) to be made.

There have been a few threads on this subject over the last few years in the Market Discussions forum. I don't have any links handy unfortunately but you should be able to find them in that sub-forum with some digging.

My best recollection is that they had a fair amount of detail and insightful comments from current and past third-parties so I highly recommend having a look for them.

In brief you need to have a reputation that is worth more to you than losing it by scamming. This makes it hard to get into the business as you need to get people to trust you to start with.

Yeah, there's a lot of ISK at stake, and the possibility of scams on either side of the sales transaction. So you need rock solid reputation, which is difficult to get, and you also need paranoia and suspicion towards every customer. Check the trade and manufacturing sub-threads for advice and to contact people who are already doing this.
