EVE Launcher version 1095633 has the following changes:

  • Better handling of errors when downloading/patching/unpacking
  • Added a setting to obey system configuration for proxy
  • Better handling of SSL errors when downloading resources
  • Linux launcher now allows spaces in installed path
  • Added a setting to enabled hardware rendering in the launcher

The setting to enable hardware rendering has the same effect as setting the QT_OPENGL environment variable to 'desktop'. The launcher currently defaults to using software OpenGL rendering as it has proved to be more stable for many players. Note that this only refers to the launcher itself, not the game.

The continuing improvement of the launcher has given me great faith in your ability to deliver on requests from the community. As such I have several more features that would be very helpful if the launcher could do them:

  • Obliterate Star Wars episodes 1-3 (the 'new' ones) from the time space continuum in such a way that they not only no longer exist but in fact never existed.
  • Cause my dog to shed less while still being just as fluffy.
  • Whiten my teeth while I sleep.
  • Allow me to drink more than three really hoppy beers without getting a vicious headache.
  • Keep coffee piping hot for eight hours without an external heat source; current vacuum flasks can only manage four and I hate brewing a whole new pot for just one cup in the early afternoon.

Please get on including these ASAP.

I'll get right on that!

Why do we have to log in every account separately? Why not make a "Master" Account where you can add the other accounts? To be frank: Who will use multiple passwords for 5+ Accounts? It's better to have one master account with a strong and complicated PW then 5 with 12345. And because you can use the 2-factor-authentification this would be a good way to to make all accounts really safe instead of questionable security for each account. And for multiple accounts it's really a pain if the launcher has problems and you have to log in each account separately.

Could CCP please add a digital signature for the launcher? My computer security software popped up a warning for this after the launcher update.

I checked several other EVE-related executables like Exefile, and they all have signatures.

Try deleting the folder %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\QtWebEngine - let me know if that helps.
