So i'm coming back from a hiatus and there was a few updates i needed to do as expected. After they all finished downloading and installing the launcher said 'client ready' and then just stopped there. There no "play game" nor did it auto launch on its own. Ive tried playing with the settings, restarting the launcher, restarting Steam and my PC. The game still wont launch im just stuck at the launcher. Any ideas?

I am having exactly the same issue. Not sure what the problem is, can't seem to find a login window.

v.2.2999545 was the most recent release of the OLD launcher. It's been discontinued. You can leave it installed, but it won't let you play anymore.

You want the NEW launcher here:
Download EVE Online

- Click the "DOWNLOAD EVE ONLINE" big orange button. This should deliver the new launcher installer to you:
EveLauncher-1097946.exe
Save that.

- BEFORE you run it:
Read through this thread here in the Launcher forum (it's a sticky at the top):
Migrating settings from old launcher to new

You can find your Shared data cache in the old launcher here:
- Click the Gear in the upper right
- Select "Download" on the left
At the bottom is your "Shared cache location"

When you install the new launcher, be sure to make sure that shared cache location is correct.

You can verify it post-installation this way:
- Start the new launcher
- Click the "E" (upper right of the new launcher)
- Select "Shared Cache..." (a new window will pop up)
- You should see the same location as was in your old launcher in the top line.

While you've got that dialog window open, and based on Developer answers to other users in other threads, you may be able to save yourself some headaches by doing the following:

- Click the [ Permissions... ] button to fix any file or folder permission problems with regards to the Shared Cache.
- Click [ Verify ] to go through the shared cache and get rid of any corrupted or extraneous/left over cache files from the
old launcher. On a solid-state-drive (SSD) this is pretty quick. Might take a few minutes on a standard hard drive.

And if you launch your characters and they've lost all their overview settings and the like, you've forgotten to set up a profile for your characters.
- Click the "E" menu
- Select "Client Settings..." (a new window will pop up)
- Set "Source" to "Migrate old clients" and "Target" to "Tranquility" (you can do other servers like Singularity later)
- Highlight a profile on the left, and click [ Copy profile ] (You may have more than one! I had two...)
- Highlight the new profile on the right and rename it (I renamed mine to: Test_Profile_1)
- Try launching a client/character now, and see if the profile issue is fixed. If not, you may need to import a different profile that was listed under "Source", give it a different name and try that.

Good luck!
