Question about Cap Warfare Resistance

Does a Cap Warfare Resistance of x% reduce the amount drained from each neut/nos by x%, or does it prevent any cap drain if you are below x% cap?

I'm mostly certain that it's the former (meaning you can still eventually be neuted out, it's just harder) because CCP has stated that they work like armoer/shield hardeners, but I wanted to double check.

Thanks!

It is indeed the former, although in some cases, like the cap battery, the amount resisted is also reflected back at the attacker. This means they can end up capping themselves out before they cap you out.

That's not actually as great as it sounds, though, because in practice they will have built their ship to run without cap (buffer tank, probably drone damage, etc), or have a cap booster anyway. But it's still a nice little bonus.
