For reference/Google search should anyone else come up with this error with wine:

No sound at all, including the launcher, client errors and freezes requiring a force quit

GM found an issue with the Razor Kraken Plugin, which required its removal

can be found here -

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/RazerKraken7.1ChromaAudio.plugin.

deleted plugin, everything seems to be working, including sound through the Razor Kraken headset

We have reported this issue to the developers of the Razer plugin - not sure if the bug is in Wine or in the plugin, but at least we will need their help to work out how to fix this if it is indeed in Wine.

I have been having the same problem as well with my Razer ManO'War, but for some reason the RazerKraken7.1ChromaAudio.plugin is causing the problem ever since Mac users were forced to use Wine instead of Cider. As like Rhianna, it is located at, /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/RazerKraken7.1ChromaAudio.plugin. I spoke with a GM about it and they advised that I delete the file to fix the problem. I tested this to see if it worked and it in fact did however this plugin file is important for the functionality of my headset's audio.

It might help if you file a bug with Razer, get a higher priority on this with them. This could be a bug in Wine, but I need their help to figure this out, haven't been successful in getting it so far.
