@ CCP CmdrWan

Hello CmdrWang

I've been following Fanfest at home, especially about Dust514
And last year december EVE players were allowed to sign in for the beta release. According to this blog, EVE players, who did sign in, would be drafted to play and test Dust514. So I did sign in as others did.

Closely following the blogs and Fanfest interviews, I learned the this: The persons who have attended the Fanfest ( some of them might not even play EVE at all ) will be invited to play the beta version of Dust514, and in the following months may and june controlled numbers of players will be allowed to enter Dust514

What about us, EVE players, who signed in since december last year, but were not able to attend Fanfest. Do we have to wait till june to even have a chance to get an invite?

Because this looks like CCP is favouring a small group of players who were able to attend the Fanfest in person, and not all the EVE players for the first beta keys

So could you or another Dev tell me this true, or that I'm wrong.

Had to step up and post something when I seen that all Fanfest attendees will get in in April. What about the rest of us that couldn't make it do to money or time? (In my case it was both) Are we going to have to wait until June? Total elephant dung if this is true.

From what i understood when they talked about beta during FF, it will work as followed :

=> Early April (no exact date) => People from fanfest will get in. They already got their code.

=> April to June => Several waves of player get in, randomly (i guess) choose among all beta applicants for MPT.

=> After E3 => PS3 users beta .

This is NOT official. Just what i red between the lines.

who knows, maybe Commander Wang could confirm that ^^

I waited so long for this I've lost interest. I swear, I told you that was an unfortunate side effect of long, drawn out hype about an upcoming event or game. Of course, I might be the only one affected this way.

1 month ago, I've asked CmdrWang or any other dev some questions.
None of them even bothered to give a reaction ..........(Great job, creating a blog and not even participate in it)

Meanwhile in another thread the story continues....................................

And reading the whole thread, I can't help to Lol

Not EVE Online players or Fanfest attendees got in Dust514 Beta first, but about 5000 Sony PNS/PSN+ players. What?

few questions while turning the clepsydra upside down (once again):

will be dust rolled out during the inferno patch or will it be something indipendent? E3 is from 5th to 7th of June, any chances to know how much after the 'official launch' could we fully interact with dusters?
Also, in the future how will the patches be released, in common or separately? Guess the former but you never know

Expect it to come out at the same time as the winter expansion.

Looks like a good game but I'm not buying a kiddiestation just to play it.

Why you insisted it to be PlayStation only is beyound my comprehension.

Sad

Because......

A.)They want the people with PC's to be uhm... in their space ships >_>

B.) Dust is supposed to be able to interact with EvE but remain playable even if all of new eden collectively gives it the cold shoulder, and vice versa, but the immersion we are supposed to see, and the interaction between the two that is supposed to make the whole thing so amazing, requires there be people logged in to both. So the people with a PS3 and a ****** PC can play Dust and the people who play EvE but have no PS3 can be in their ships, and this means there will always be people (in theory) in both worlds.

C.) Your ****** PC's cannot even load the CQ and you think it can play THIS?!

D.) Easier for those of us who play EvE and have PS3 to do things like...get in on a ground war and station our own ships in orbit for support?

Would it be cool to have a PC version? **** Yes!
Will they lose out on some players by not having it? Maybe.. Who really knows?
Can we understand why it was done the way it was done in the end? Probably
Will we get a PC version soon(tm) ? never say never :P

Anyway.. def signed up I hope I get in, I love FPS games and need a good reason to blow the(pardon the pun) "Dust" off my PS3 :D

So CCP. Feel like giving us some updated info on when non-fanfest attendees can expect to get a beta invite?

Just got my son connected with the bonus pack for DUST514. I watched for about 3 hrs last night and was very impressed as was he with the beta version.

He is hooked and sauf "There goes my summer". I am looking forward to any integration that may transpire with EVE and DUST. I can only imagine what has been imagined...

Yeah, I've been playing the hell out of it and its so great to hear all the shooter fans that have never played EVE come in and talk about how much fun they're having with the game (obvious beta bugs aside). There's a lot of competitive clans that are testing it out and getting their guys ready to storm in once its fully released. I think a lot of people were afraid that it would only be EVE players that were interested enough to bother, but thats not at all what I'm hearing on comms every night. Its certainly captured the attention of the non-EVE shooter crowd... Cool
