Lately after I mine the sound effect for the modulated strip miner II keeps going indefinitely until I log out.

Don't know where to put this so here it is. :)

This is already known. My strip miners (sound) behave correctly, but sometimes my salvagers do as you said.

In another thread a guy said, that turning audio off/on solves the problem, but the bug is still there.

If only there was some sort of bug reporting system for EVE...
