"Finally, all capsuleers who have an active subscription on December 31st will have their character names and images launched into space aboard a high-altitude balloon (yes, really)."

This is amazing. Even though it's after Christmas, it's the best Christmas present ever!!

I'm so happy :'D

Pretty dumb idea overall if you ask me. Hopefully the balloon is ghetto as **** so they aren't wasting a lot of money on "RL spaceships" vs. the Internet variety.

Into space with a balloon is not going to happen. Not even close Sad

"The balloon can only rise up until the atmosphere surrounding it has the same weight as the helium in the balloon. This happens at about a height of 20 miles (32 kilometers) above Earth's surface. So, this is as far as a helium balloon can rise. Outer space starts somewhere around 600 miles (960 kilometers) above Earth's surface."
