How could you!?

Have you ever had cats running loose in your hangar or in your ship?

Try having them in these places. Then try running maintenance.

Be prepared for a headache to end all headaches.

Fantastic work super sleuths on discovering verifiable information on cats.[1][2] However, I had no interest in proof of cats[1][2] as much as exploring the precedent set when one questions the validity of benign comments like, "I own a cat[1][2]."

Because if one looks at the cat[1][2] question, and the verifiable information on cats[1][2] on the neocom, then one has to consider the dates of when that material was available. As such, if you said you owned a cat[1][2] prior to when that material was available does that mean your cat[1][2] wasn't real until it could be cited as real via information on the neocom? Were all cats[1][2] existing in some kind of transposed quantum state until CONCORD collapsed their wave function into reality via the neocom?

That's just one potential absurdity as example when one embarks on desiring complete literalism based solely on information made available on the neocom, instead of the greyer determinations of an acceptable plausibility in statements.

Here's the point I'm making. There are things out there that are taken for granted enough that nobody really cares about proof of their existence anymore.

However, there are things that really need a 'citation needed'. I am very sure the concept of 'extraordinary claims needing extraordinary evidences' is one you are very familiar with. Even more so when someone claims that you can find so-and-so on the Galnet. However, if someone makes that kind of claim, they NEED to back it up. Especially considering that a large number of us do not have access to said resources he claimed is available for viewing on the Galnet no matter how much sleuthing we do.

For example, claiming that the CONCORD constitution exists is all well and fine. We all expect them to have a constitution to begin with. How else are they supposed to function? But claiming that you can actually find said constitution on the Galnet with a keyword, which is something plenty of us can't seem to do ourselves, THAT raises eyebrows and garners a 'citation needed'.

Now do you understand what my beef is?

You asked for it.

By the way, I actually hate cats.

I have a killer show idea for you, it should be called "Through Elmud's Aviators". First show could be about alien cats from place called Egypt. Ratings all across New Eden will fly off the charts.

I bet they go around the portico citing scriptures in meows at fallible humans who dares to come near their mistress's abode.

First episode features alien cats that 'naps' behind the reactor housing of my Breacher in a deviously cunning attempt to make reactor engineers contract at least seven types of cancer in the attempt to 'rescue' the 'poor creatures'.

In the end, all the engineers are saved because the reactor, the neutron poison rods, the coolant pipes, the turbines and even the condensed plutonium fuel rods spoke to the engineers and guided them towards the cats to extract them out of the engineering deck without suffering from the worst of the radiation.

And the show closes with me ejecting all cats out of the airlock.

Because I hate the little fuzzballs. Ever tried to enter the capsule only to find that cats had left hairballs clogging the amniotic fluid pumps?
