I might be missing something and if so someone will point it out but the main benefit now of standings, corporate or faction, is for reducing trading taxes. Even there it isn't quite as important as in the past if you use "offshoring" (i.e. trading from a citadel 1 jump from a hub).

The other thing, which is a bit niche, is that with very high faction standings, 9.0+ unadjusted for social skills, there are some faction blueprint offers that you can get from each faction's COSMOS agents. But unless you are a dedicated pve'er it's not worth it due to the huge timesink involved.

Edit: access to locator agents for war-deccers, but even that has been affected by the watchlist changes.

It depends on which corporate standings you are referring to here, your own TO a corporation or your OWN corporation to something else. Your own corporations standings never affected anything other than FW inclusion status. Other than this there is nothing I know of that is affected by it. Corporation to another corporation in null sec stations, or now in all citadels is still a thing but that is a settings issue and not a grind issue.

Your own TO an NPC corporation does have an effect. 1.00 gets you level 2 agents, 3.00 gets you level 3, 5.00 gets you level 4 and 7.00 gets you level 5, 6.66 gets you the best refining and up to 10.00 gets you better tax rates for manufacturing, buying and selling goods within that station along with the relevant skills.

These standings are personal and having everyone in your corp have high standings wont make an issue here either. It used to for POS anchoring. You have enough standings and you had someone with standings other than 0.00 join and it would screw you to anchor anything else after a week. So now that all that has been removed yeah theres little use beyond what I listed above to get better standings. And the refining one has already been taken over by better reprocessing at citadels anyway now.

Corporate to NPC Corporation.

It appears the summary conclusion is Corporate to NPC Corporation doesn't provide benefit.

Personal to NPC Corporate is the only standing that matters for Agents, Tax Breaks et al.

Standings are disparate that even if I were to grind my eyes out for a perfect Guristas standing, I would still be shot on sight by belt rats on Venal. Despite being on their side, having no intentions to attack them to keep my standings intact and the fact my ship is several magnitudes above their ships in terms of fire power.

And the fact that the way standings are calculated is asymptotic (gets increasingly hard to reach a perfect standing, and the only way to get it is by some rounding number magic that makes the long 9.99999999 into a 10) is so dumb that I don't even.

They affected access to mission agents at one point. I haven't checked in a long time to see if this is still true. I have a feeling that CCP is slowly removing standings from the game as they are just a pointless grind.

im waiting on the removal of npc standings now since they took even more use away, although you could get away with clones by getting a clone out of a rorq or alliance stations and just plant it any where you want, I still have all of my clones from doing that.

npc corp standings only are going for tax, refine, and mission agents now from what I hear.

All sec standings get you is not get shot at jumping into empire systems and there's loop holes for that.

it feels like their rapidly dumbing down the game to get more people.
