Questions about the practical details of Citadels in WH space

I've read what I could on Citadels, and am aware that in W-space there is no "asset safety" meaning if it gets blown up 100% of your stuff in the Citadel drops. However, I'm fuzzy on some of the other details.

A friend has offered us access to use their Citadel in W-space. My understanding is they cannot directly take things out of our personal/corp hangars, but if they remove the Citadel altogether... everything would drop.

Beyond that, if they simply change standings to deny us access to the Citadel after a time, what happens? Do we instantly lose access to all our stuff, or is there a delay to allow us to pull things out?

Are there any other details of operating out of Citadels in W-space that people have discovered the hard way? Or quirks in general of using someone else's Citadel that are not readily apparent?

Correct.

You lose access to your stuff. Though, they still can't touch it.
You can still make contracts so you could try selling it to someone who can still use the citadel for example.

Not that I know of.

If you don't completely trust your 'friend', you could try and see if they are ok with you anchoring your own citadel instead.

What if you temporary put your own structure in the same WH and try to use "asset safety" from your menu to get your stuff in there?

this might work. i can't think of any reason off the top of my bonce that it wouldn't.

it would, however, be a non-trivial undertaking, you would need to defend the citadel through it's 15m vulnerability timer after it anchors.

I would think if you don't trust the person enough that you have to ask these questions, don't keep anything of value in that particular citadel
