EVE Online constantly freezing

Hi, I play EVE Online on my MacBook Pro 15 and I've been experiencing frequent game freezes after the last 2 patch updates. Before that, I never experienced a freeze or even a crash even once.

The problem is as follows:

It occurs randomly, sometimes frequent, sometimes not.
The entire MBP freezes with the game, meaning that once it happens, nothing works except for the cursor of the mouse.
The only way to solve the problem is to hard reset the laptop.

Is there anyway to stop this problem from happening?

Here are the specs for my MacBook Pro:

Version 10.6.8
Processor 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Vincent Athena

Force quit usually gets you out without the need for a reset. (command-option -esc). And do it fast, your ship is still in the game and vulnerable, until you do that force quit.

I get it every now and then, but not a often as some. Im guessing somehow my computer is "cleaner". The eve client tends to tromp all over memory and get messed up by stuff in a way that really should never happen in a unix based system. So try quitting all other apps but eve, repairing permissions, restarting your computer before a play session.
